Santa and the Pink Pig 2012

Today we met Olivia's cousins at Lenox for pictures with Santa!

A practice picture with PittyPat at Mimi and Poppa's before we left.
We couldn't have timed it better! There was NO LINE!
This is in the little Christmas Tree tent before getting to Santa...another practice picture...
AND....SUCCESS! No crying! The big girls (especially Mia) were a huge help!
We dared to put Livi on his lap all by herself...much better than last year!
Waiting in line for the Pink Pig...little girls on their Iphones...oh boy!
Thanks to Mimi and Poppa for a fun day!
Pink Pig! Olivia loved this ride!
And her cousin Mia was a huge help! Thanks Mia :)

Randomness for November...

I almost forgot to post this picture of us after voting
in the presedential election! I really want
Olivia to understand the importance of making
your voice heard and that everyone can make a difference.

This was just to darn cute not share!
We met some friends for lunch at daddy's work and the girls
were playing outside watching the big Christmas tree go up in the shopping center.
But playing in the trees was much more fun!

November Project with leaves

Everyone remembers collecting leaves and
ironing them between two pieces of wax paper!
We decided to do this good 'ol standby
project on this day! She had fun talking about
all the pretty colors on the leaves and was
really impressed with them "sticking" to the paper.

Yes...she is still in her pajamas...it was cold this morning!

 That's the last leaf!
Ta da!!!! So pretty!

Learning about Thanksgiving

I really want Olivia to understand how blessed she is
and appreciate what she has, learn the ways of giving,
and feel the joy it brings to give unto others.
That being said we're limited to what/how we teach
these values at this age so the best way is through play!
This day we worked on our "Thankful Tree".
We used construction paper, paint, and our good 'ole
hands to make our creations.

We had to play in the paint first of course!
Then we drew the trees with brown paint and make the leaves
with our fingertips dipped in warm fall colors!
Then we had to take a break to make hand stamps....

We let our trees dry overnight and the next day we worked on
things we are thankful for.
Once I started saying what I was thankful for Olivia had no problem
telling me things she loved and was thankful for too! As you see
her list became quite long!
Olivia is thankful for:
Mommy and Daddy
M&M's
Barney and Caillou
Her family
Buckler (Butler) and PittyPat (her Mimi's cats)
cookies
ChickfilA
Chocolate Milk
Puppies
Baby dolls
Dori (her fish)
Playing at the park
This was a fun project!

Monday Madness

Monday was a yucky day outside but perfect for a visit with
Aunt Shana and Uncle Blake! Olivia and I both got a hair trim...her bangs were
in desperate need of some TLC! She did great! What
did parents do before Iphones ???
Watching her show on Aunt Shana Iphone...
I still don't think she's ever looked up....

Playing with her Uncle Blake ;-)

Project Weekend

This weekend was project weekend for me. And what mommy could do a project without her
little helper?? I am repainting this antique vanity to put in my room and Olivia had
fun doing her "part".
Learning how to paint with the grain..yeah right!
 "Look Daddy! Livi did it!"

Family Friends and fun on the farm!

Max, Olivia, and I went and visited our friends The McCarts out on their family farm Saturday. We had such a wonderful time! The kids had a ball running around and playing, the food was delicious, and we even let Livi ride a 4 wheeler! (With Ms. Tracy driving of course ;) Check it out!
 Our little country girl!
The hayride was lots of fun :-)

Waiting for the 'smores to happen!!
Olivia making her first 'smore with Mr. Jason.....as she says "Really cool mom!"

Halloween 2012

Our little "TINK"!
 Practicing her fairy flying skills!
Every little angel (or fairy) gets her wings...
Walking in the parade with Poppa
Mimi and Poppa with their very own Tinkerbell!
She wasn't quite sure if she was liking this smoke...but she
loved trick-or-treating with daddy!

Georgia Aquarium

Look mommy!!! It's Nemo!!!

Checking out the starfish with daddy
WOW! Beluga whales were pretty cool to Olivia!
Can you tell she's having fun getting close to the penguins?
Waving to the diver cleaning the tank.
Daddy was trying to get her to touch the sting rays but
she would take her hand out as soon as they came close to touching her!
(wonder who she gets that from?)

Zoo Atlanta

Max was on vacation this past week and we decided to do a good 'ole
"Staycation" and hit up the sites our city of Atlanta has to offer.

This pic still makes me a little nervous...here is Olivia with
a lion!
 Looking for monkeys with daddy
The carousel is always a hit! She picked out the
elephant she is riding on.
Riding the choo choo train with daddy is always fun!
Finished up the day at Grant Park with a picnic...
these are the kind of days that make my heart smile!
