Tutu's and Toddler Time!

 Olivia has been enjoying spending time with her sweet friend Emily the past couple of weeks. Emily and my friend Amanda have had us over to their neighborhood pool for some fun and the girls really love it...ok so they spend most of the time worrying over whose turn it is to play with the same toy but as they say "This too shall pass"! LOL!

 There will be NO Toddlers and Tiara's during our playdates but who said anything about Tutu's and Bubble fun?? They loved this!!

 The girls made their very own pizza for lunch. What a great way to let them get involved and they get to eat their creation! Way COOL!

There is nothing sweeter than watching two sweet girls play with a dollhouse...I just want to freeze these moments. 

Granddaddy's Birthday Party

 Olivia wanted to be the one to give Granddaddy his gift :-)

 Granddaddy always has a "prize" for Olivia when she comes to visit and this time he asked her to hold our hands and close her eyes....this is what she did! HAHAHA we were cracking up! TOO FUNNY!

July's Arts, Crafts, and Pinterest Fun!

 I saw this idea on Pinterest to simply use painters tape to spell out a child's name and then let them paint around it.

 I did all the prepping while Olivia was down for a nap.

 She had fun trying different types of paint.

 She really liked mixing the colors together to make new colors!

 This is probably the BEST Pinterest idea I've discovered yet for toddler play! Simply buy some pipe cleaners from the Dollar Store...give them a colander... and have them stick the pipe cleaners in the holes!

 Voila! Instant fun and guaranteed to entertain them for 30 minutes! And HEY!..Let's face it.. that's time for a mommy to start laundry, shower, start lunch, the things we can power through with 30 minutes!!!

Olivia really enjoyed being able to wash her own paintbrush and see the water change colors with the paint.

Max took us girls to the National Aviation Museum Sunday on our way home. I have to say this is by far the BEST museum I've ever seen! What an amazing job they have done. If you are near the Pensacola area I highly recommend it!

Our Sweet Little Fish!

I'm so glad I captured some of Olivia's first swimming moments on film! You never know she may be an Olympic Gold Medal winner in the sport one day...LOL! ...at the end of the video she is showing off her "bubble blowing" skills! Enjoy!

Family Weekend at the Beach

Max surprised Olivia and I with a weekend getaway to Pensacola Beach last weekend and we had a blast! We stayed at the Holiday Inn Pensacola Beach Resort and couldn't have been happier with their service and amenities!! Olivia loved the pool!

4th of July Fun!

We had a good time with the family this year at the lake. The big girl cousins played and had fun and the little girl cousins were enamored with eacthother! So sweet to listen to them jibber jabber at eachother in their own secret language. We hope all of our friends had a great fun 4th as well! Back to the drawing board...we have a birthday party to attend tomorrow for Olivia's sweet friends (twins) Mae & Molly. Looking forward to some fun in the sun! Have a great weekend all ;-)

4th of July Beauties

We had so much fun playing at the lake with the family this 4th of July! Olivia especially loved being around her cousins. So sweet watching Chelsea and Olivia hug and play!

"Livi Sayings"

So we've had a fun week this week! Monday was Aunt Shana day and we went for a cool treat in the afternoon. Tuesday was Music Class, Wednesday Livi's friends came over for a playdate, Thursday Olivia went to Mimi and Poppa's house for a playdate with her sweet cousin Chelsea, and today well....today we did NOTHING! LOL...
I wanted to post a few things that Olivia has been saying lately that we just love! She is trying to say "I Love you"  but it usually comes out "I bujujuju you Mommy!"; she loves it when Max and I are home together so during the week once Max gets home it is always so much fun! She wants us to do everything together so she'll say " Come on Mommy, come on daddy, 'mone!".  She is really interested in  learning how to swim so every night in the bath tub she practices blowing bubbles like daddy taught her and she loves to float on her stomach and "kick, kick, paddle,paddle" all while saying "WATCH MOMMY WATCH!". Reading books is a big hit lately, she will ask me to read her a story then promptly take the book away from me and read it to me in her jibber jabber with one or two recognizable words. So cute! I love how inquisitive she is! (just like Max ) and she is such a sponge...tell her something and she retains it...which we've discovered is good AND bad! We are truly enjoying this age and having a blast with our sweet girl!

It's been several weeks since I've posted. You'll see what all we've been up to as you read on...from playdates, swimming, to vacationing in Puerto Rico and visiting family it's been an action packed summer so far and we're loving every minute!!!

Fathers Day 2012

We went to the lake for Father's Day weekend so we visited my dad this past Sunday to celebrate with him. Olivia loves making him laugh! She really enjoys making him hold all her toys and coloring with him too :-)! MawMaw has a cat so of course Livi had to check the cat out. MEOW! Dad took her down to the creek to feed the fish. She loves being outside at their house! All new places to discover!

Old Town San Juan

We took Olivia into Old Town San Juan for a little visit one day. What a beautiful little town. Reminded me so much of New Orleans. We also visited the big Fort in town that is over 500 years old. Olivia loved playing in this old guard shack.

Beautiful scenery...

The pool couldn't have been more perfect for Olivia! It was tiered into 3 levels and while daddy played in the big pool...Livi played in the baby pool! Although I'm sure it wasn't exactly designed to be a baby pool but hey!...it worked for us! Beautiful view of the Caribbean from our pool. Max was teaching her how to swim by going "kick, kick, paddle, paddle" and so she showed off her new skills as often as she could! (And still does it in the bath tub at home!)

Our First Family Vacation

Hollywood! Arriving at our villa in Palmas Del Mar, Puerto Rico. We stayed in the Marbella Club and WOW! was a beautiful place!

Aunt B!

I just adore my Aunt B and love watching her with my sweet Livi! Olivia loves showing out and sharing all of her toys with her Aunt B when she comes for a visit.
