Learning about Thanksgiving

I really want Olivia to understand how blessed she is
and appreciate what she has, learn the ways of giving,
and feel the joy it brings to give unto others.
That being said we're limited to what/how we teach
these values at this age so the best way is through play!
This day we worked on our "Thankful Tree".
We used construction paper, paint, and our good 'ole
hands to make our creations.

We had to play in the paint first of course!
Then we drew the trees with brown paint and make the leaves
with our fingertips dipped in warm fall colors!
Then we had to take a break to make hand stamps....

We let our trees dry overnight and the next day we worked on
things we are thankful for.
Once I started saying what I was thankful for Olivia had no problem
telling me things she loved and was thankful for too! As you see
her list became quite long!
Olivia is thankful for:
Mommy and Daddy
M&M's
Barney and Caillou
Her family
Buckler (Butler) and PittyPat (her Mimi's cats)
cookies
ChickfilA
Chocolate Milk
Puppies
Baby dolls
Dori (her fish)
Playing at the park
This was a fun project!
